(USA), Instrument Consultant & General Manager, who not only has played the piano since the age of 3, but is an award winning and world traveled pianist/singer/composer, piano technician, and composition/theory faculty member of AMDA with an utmost care and love for the Bösendorfer piano and an owner of a Bösendorfer 225.

Mr. Mills’ foremost priorities are sales presentations, prospecting and client relations, as well as assisting in public relations and artist relations, where directly pertaining to sales, spreading his
love for these most amazing instruments at every possible opportunity and circumstance.
Paul had been working on and off with the team for 2 years before joining Bösendorfer New York
permanently in 2007.

Manuel J Kiefer (Austria), Technical Assistant & Service Manager, who has played the piano since age 6, entered the prestigious three and a half year apprentice program at the Bösendorfer manufacture in Wr. Neustadt at 15, where he developed into a craftsman in the art & science of piano building. He proudly completed his apprenticeship with a diploma in March 2006, finishing best in class, which facilitated a post graduate at Bösendorfer New York to perfect his skills as piano & concert technician in the field, under supervision and guidance by Gerhard Feldmann, himself a technician of world renown.

Mr. Kiefer’s greatest passion is indeed working with and on pianos, from the day he first embarked on mastering this craftsmanship. The versatility encountered and demanded in working in such a diverse city as New York, has led Manuel to join the team at Bösendorfer New York for extended terms.

Anne-Marie Behr (USA), Executive Assistant & Office Manager, has been a music appreciator since her very first piano lesson at age 3, encompassing many different genres of both vocal and instrumental music including classical, musical theater and jazz. Before joining Bösendorfer New York in fall of 2007 she had graduated from AMDA and currently works towards her BFA at NSU.

Ms. Behr has extensive experience in and exposure to office management, financial, vendor and client relations and other executive assistant activities. She handles the back-office at Bösendorfer New York independently and with great care, coordinating the activities of the various departments. Anne-Marie has, according to her own words, fallen in love with the thrilling sound of the Bösendorfer piano and is extremely happy to be part of the Bösendorfer New York team, promoting these one-of-a-kind instruments.

Mika H Latvala (Finland), Technical Assistant & Audio Consultant, plays the piano since the age of 6, studying at Tampere Conservatory as well as Sibelius-Academy adding music theory and producing & engineering, with a focal point on acoustic music (Finnish Radio Symphony, UMO Big Band), and later at Arla Institute immersing himself in piano technology. Mr. Latvala joined Bösendorfer New York in summer of 2005 for a trainee program, completing his studies in the fall of 2007 at Bösendorfer in Vienna, specializing here on the Bösendorfer CEUSS, the recording and reproducing device.

Mika’s deep interest in the workings of the piano started when he assisted his father in restoring older pianos, and this interest has only increased, leading him to continue working with his father, working as concert technician (Ralf Gothoni, Antti Siirala) for Hellas Pianos and re-joining Bösendorfer New York this coming spring. His fields of expertise are beside the Bösendorfer piano the Bösendorfer CEUSS and the Bösendorfer Loudspeakers.

Josephine R Reiter (USA), Talent & Music Consultant, initiated the concert program at Bösendorfer New York in fall of 2004, after having acquired her own B Bösendorfer earlier that year. Mrs. Reiter looks back at an immensely successful career of teaching music as a tenured full Professor at Framingham State. After having studied piano with Johana Harris, and musical form with the American composer Roy Harris at Chatham University, she earned her Master of Music degree from the University of Michigan, and a law degree from the New England School of Law and is a member of the Massachusetts bar.

Professor Emerita Reiter’s courses in music literature are directed toward the general music listener and her emphasis is to focus on what to listen for in music. Josephine continues the work of building the audience for classical music in her lecture series at Bösendorfer New York for which she recruits exciting young performers from the Juilliard School and the Manhattan School of Music, contributing to the Bösendorfer tradition of closely working with upcoming and established pianists.

Anette M Lewis (Germany), Institutional & Venue Relations, has recently joined Bösendorfer New York from the Goethe-Institute New York, where she worked in the Program Department from 2004-2007 and was responsible for the Guest of Goethe Events, all aspects relating to concerts and the Bösendorfer piano on site, as well as concert and special event space rentals. She was highly successful in raising funds to promote programs of the German government.

Mrs. Lewis holds an interpreter certification in French to English and has extensive background with the US private schooling system. Anette’s focuses at Bösendorfer New York are venue and institutional sales, with cross promotional activities, and interrelated artist and public relations.

Margrit Julia Zimmermann (Russia), Piano Teacher & Educational Consultant, is an award winning artist with uncommon poetic talent and a great passion for teaching. Her goal is to impart in her disciples a deep and solid basis to discover and then to express “the inner musical idea”. Foremost she strives for the student to enjoy every minute of practicing. Her own unique contact with the piano and her sensitive touch stem from the best traditions of the European and Russian piano schools. Ms. Zimmerman studied with Eulalia Stepanova, Dmitri Bashkirov, Lev Naumov and Vera Gornostaeva debuting in recital and as soloist with orchestras at an early age. Upon a distinguished graduation from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Ms. Zimmermann launched her international career as solo pianist in recital as well as with symphonic and chamber orchestras, performing throughout the major cities of Germany, Russia, Austria, England, Lithuania, The Netherlands, and Switzerland with “fascinating intensity and depth”. She continues to appear regularly, both as soloist and collaborative pianist to much critical acclaim.

Ms. Zimmermann’s repertoire ranges from the Classical to the Contemporary and her recordings on major labels in England and Sweden have been highly praised in Gramophone Magazine and Penn Sounds for having “a deep musical sense and technical perfection.” Margrit Julia recently started teaching at Long Island Conservatory and gives Master Classes at the Cracias Music School. She is also available for private instruction.
