The Senator combines the unique acoustical characteristics of the Bösendorfer Grand Piano with a highly individualized and refined aesthetic. The casework of the Senator is created from a combination of two different woods: polished pyramid mahogany & pear wood inlays. The pyramid mahogany is sourced from controlled licensed forests in West Africa where mature mahogany trunks are felled in keeping with forestry practices. Veneers made from this wood are particularly beautiful because of the uniquely smooth cut and the striking, decorative pyramid design which takes on a "flame" under the light.
The Senator is an instrument which proclaims exceptionally well the extent to which the Bösendorfer is itself a work of art. And because it projects such a doubly-striking character in its sound and appearance, it is an instrument in high demand in the most exclusive of music salons.
