Bösendorfer remains to this day the "slowest" of all piano makers, taking more than seven years to create just one of its Traditional Grands! It is a process which begins with a meticulous pre-selection of woods and culminates in the multitude of precision-processes which make these instruments the most revered in the world. It is a creative process which not only requires strict technical perfection, but also musicality and a deep love for the art of piano-making. The unending richness of sound and variation of tone are what make the timbre of the Bösendorfer unmistakable to the ear and heart. But it is equally a testament to the "craftsman's love" that these pianos present the extraordinary physical and visual presence which makes the always-elegant Traditional Grand as well suited to the intimacy of the home as to the charged atmosphere of the concert stage.

The Traditional European style features the clean, classic look of Bösendorfer set with warm antique brass fittings and a copper-hued plate. It appears equally elegant against backdrops ranging from rich, ornate antique aesthetics to the cool minimalism of the 20th century.
